Project
The Naqsh Jahan Stadium Comprehensive Development Plan is a 170-hectare urban design project located in the northern cultural and sports district of Isfahan, commissioned by Mobarakeh Steel Company and approved between 2022 and 2023. The plan was developed with the goal of revitalizing the sports and cultural identity of the area through two complementary design zones. The inner zone, conceived as a “House of Calm,” focuses on improving internal functionality and spatial quality within the stadium complex.
The outer zone, referred to as “World Stage,” addresses the exterior urban fabric by reinforcing the historical and social identity of the Naqsh Jahan project, establishing the stadium as a credible and recognized landmark with mixed-use district management. The project aims to stimulate investment, increase per-capita access to sports facilities, elevate urban identity, strengthen social cohesion through landmark public spaces, and position the complex as an international destination for sports tourism and major events.
